Accidental Exposure – Teacher Internet Safety Comic Page 7

Another page. This one’s focused on making sure your students know what to do should they accidentally encounter something “bad” on the Internet. I also made some minor touch ups to earlier pages.

  1. Wow
These comics are so very cool and a great resource for teachers worrying about how to be vigilant (and keep their sense of humor).
What is your policy for sharing these?

  2. Kevin,

Thank you. I’m trying hard to give some decent advice while keeping things at least semi-funny. That’s not always as easy as it sounds.

The comics are published under a Creative Commons license so you are welcome to share them any way you want as long as you leave the attribution on there and don’t charge anyone (not that I feel that’s a real concern :).

  3. This may be the most useful one yet in my opinion. I am helping prep what my school is calling summer technology academy for teachers and I am going to show this to the person is is presenting. This is excellent.

  4. Christopher,

Thanks! The rest are going to be oriented more like this one, that is, towards specific things for teachers to do/say when using computers in class. I’m considering doing some large sized ones oriented towards students to put on walls etc. as reminders.

The page(s) in progress right now are on figuring out what sources to trust on the Internet. It make take more than one page 🙂

    Thanks again,

    Tom
