Millenial/Zombie Horde Mash Up

>>>>Edit- I added a page and fixed the spelling of millennials (doh!- thanks Greg)

I’m working on an Internet safety overview for teachers in our county. I want it to be fun and entertaining but still get the message across. I also have to give a brief overview of the idea of millennials (which feels a little played out to me but that may be because I read too many edtech blogs).

So I’m thinking of going the zombie route for the millennials intro. It kind of works if you think about it and I’ll redeem them in the end (I promise) but I thought it might be a fun way to go about this. Check out the quick intro below and let me know what you think. I’ve been known to go overboard. Is this too much?

  1. This is great, I love the zombie angle. There’s nothing more persuasive than humour. Go for it.

  2. I love it! I’m doing an overview of web2.0 and turning a lab into a wireless cafe complete with coffee from a local coffee shop! I think we need to talk LOL

  3. This is great! If you’re going to project it, I might suggest increasing the font size a bit.

Did you do this on the Mac in Comic Life?

Great pics, and I love that you cited them! Nice work.

    Chris

  4. Cindy- Thanks for the vote of confidence. It never hurts to double check as I’m known to have an odd sense of humor.

Dee- What a great idea! I’ll have to remember that for the future.

Chis- This is really just a story board for a movie I’m considering but I figured I’d make it look decent and maybe use it for something else. You’re right, it was made in Comic Life. Which is such a fun program.

I’m usually terrible about citing so I’m trying to step up my game.

    Thanks y’all,

    Tom

  5. Tom — check the spelling of millennials. Hate for someone to play ‘gotcha’ after all of your hard work was posted. Greg (at DRHS)

  6. Mike- Thanks, good to have HCPS support. I could also add gore. I like that video. It’s one of the best ones I’ve seen.

Greg- What a surprise! Thanks for catching that. I’d fixed it on the stuff I did today. I can’t spell to save my life. I was thinking of doing a movie version and you came to mind as a candidate for the doctor. Might be fun. Let me know what you think.
