I listened to this podcast on macro photographyA photography podcast (no video). Focused on Chicago. with Mike Moats and a few of these pictures are based on trying out some things that were mentioned- mainly trying much higher f-stops. I usually shoot close to wide open. The shift from shooting around 2.8 and lower to around 10 to 15 is considerable. Tripple portrait. I like the faces on both the dogs.
I like to take photographs of photographers taking photographers. I ran into this one one block over from 821 Cafe. I am a fan of that blue wall. Danielle Dick from Spit for Science working with ALT Lab’s video team. Students set up hammocks around VCU. I wonder if that happens in other places. Not the best picture but I love the stories I make up for this scene. Something about the formal clothes, the long beards, and the apparent picnic preparations. So far I have this rabbit and a series of birds (grackle, starling, mocking bird, robin). The dress rehearsal for the school play. Opening day for baseball/softball. The soccer coach looks on.Can you tell how I’ve been spending my time? Spring is in full swing. Backstage. Serious business. Strange fruit.
