  1. The Nesbit Motel is 5 star classy! Wild billboard action, followed link on shoeortho.com and looks like maybe you went west of Baltimore through Hanover? If you went through Reisterdtown/Owings Mills/Westminster that’s my old turf.

And Hanover is worth a stop to tour the Snyder’s factory, they make the best crunchy big pretzels, can’t buy them here.

Oops distracted, the Watergap scenery is delightful and those blue line highways are great drives.

    1. I did not know you were a PA person. You’re firmly in the AZ camp in my head (and now Moose Jaw).

It was a really pretty area. My waterfall pictures did not do it justice. The parks have a crazy setup with wire fences bounding the trails that are about 6 ft tall. I’ve never seen that before.

The lightning bugs were insane. I don’t know if it was density that lead to faster flashing or if PA lightning bugs are just faster, but it was crazy. Easy to see how people believed in magic fairies.

      1. I’m a Marylander, just off northwest corner of Baltimore just PA adjacent. But I grew up thinking fireflies were that prevalent everywhere.
