The lens bokeh and the net lines lead to some interesting effects at times. I need to do something more intentional with it.
A blurry photo but one that reminded me of an old nature documentary showing gazelles grazing during a heat wave in Africa.
Kind of a fun obstruction shot. The colors line up well, although the action could be better. Still kind of fun and something to look at doing more with at some point.
Missing the face, but a different angle and one that I want to do more with.
For purely documentary purposes, these were players on the team going against my 13 year old. Soccer is odd that way.
I went down on my stomach for a chunk of shots this game. It makes a difference in angle for sure. It’s also fairly comfortable other than the sharp rubber turf bits.
I need to be fast enough to flip to the goalie being in focus.
Even though they’re getting older, the kids still like toads, frogs, and turtles.
I tried some fancy stuff at the last track meet. I wanted to use the bad light to my advantage. Pretty much a total failure. I even shot in RAW so I could do stuff in post. Really, really bad. Live and learn.
The simple shots like these were far better.
